EVERYTHING BY PRAYER...

Think of this: The God of creation condescending to men of low estate, dying on the cross, being buried, rising from the dead and coming again. And then through Jesus’ resurrection life there is the glorious privilege of prayer given us in Christ. Amazing!  I have often said that prayer is not everything; but everything is by prayer. “…In everything by prayer….” These are the inspired words of God through Paul in Philippians 4:8. May this be the motto and activity undergirding all our lives and ministries in the coming days. I do not recall a time in my life when believing prayer was more urgent than it is today. My heart is burning, burdened and broken night and day for God to come in a mighty revival in the church, sweeping through this land from coast to coast. May God grant another great awakening to penetrate the darkness of unbelief, complacency and lethargy in men’s hearts, and that a great outpouring of the Spirit would flood our land. Our covenant-keeping God said that He would “pour water upon him that is thirsty; and floods upon the dry ground” (Isaiah 44:3). May we cry out to the Lord day and night for the Spirit of Revival to flood our lives, churches and the world. “And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto Him,…?” (Luke 18:7). Beloved, pray, pray, pray until the Lord gives you that inner assurance and peace of answered prayer. Then go out believing and receiving His promised Word to your spirit. “This is the work of God, that you believe on Him….”

The Lord has opened many doors in the coming months and the responsibilities of preaching, writing, recording and singing have dramatically increased. Along with this increase and enlargement of the territory has come the Lord’s clear assurances revealed in His Word. I ask you to continue to come along side me in prayer, trust and hope. I thank you in advance for this.

I leave you with the words of my late mentor and dear, dear friend, Dr. Stephen Olford. “Pray when you feel like it.  Pray when you don’t feel like it. And pray until you do feel like it.” Jesus said, “Ask and ye shall receive.” Again, Jesus’ words in John 14:13-14 give great assurance and promise: “And whatever you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.” Are you longing for the manifest Presence of God in your life, church and ministry? There is no secret. “Ask, and ye shall receive.” He will come!

Because the Lamb is worthy, I extend my…

Warmest Love in Christ,

David
