The Mission

The mission is twofold: Revival in the church and evangelism in the world. It’s been said, when revival is the experience, evangelism is the expression. In essence, revival is described in terms of brokenness in light of “times (seasons) of refreshing from the Presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:19). David agrees with Dr. Lewis Drummond that 2 Chronicles 7:14 is not only the prescription for revival, it is the description of revival. When God moves in His overwhelming manifest Presence, people do humble themselves, pray, seek God’s face and turn from their wicked ways. There is no secret! Ask and ye shall receive!

The Message

The message is Christ and Him crucified, buried and coming again. By this we are not being simplistic, for true Christianity is not man trying to copy the Christ who walked among us 2000 years ago; but, it is Christ Jesus presently living His life in and through the believer. As a truly born again believer, the body is simply the coat that clothes the indwelling Christ. It is His Deity clothed with our humanity. That is Christianity! David preaches that, according to Romans 6-8, we are but dead men living on resurrection life.

     Alan Redpath once said, “True evangelism is not you and I standing in the world, speaking for Christ. It is you and I standing in Christ, speaking to the world.” So true!

The Method

The method is both vertical and horizontal. Vertical in that David often leads in worship in song and prayer before preaching the Word. This leads straight into the teaching and preaching the Word of the Gospel to the hearts of men, women, boys and girls. Our constant prayer is that David’s preaching be dominated by the Word of God, saturated by the Spirit of God, and motivated by the glory of God. David has a large team of prayer warriors who continually come before God’s Throne. Therefore, God gets all the glory. 

The Man

The man is simply David Ford, servant of Jesus Christ.

Having received Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of seven and receiving a clear call to preach on May 28, 1978, David began preaching at a young sixteen years old. This has led from S. Korea to S. Africa, Europe to North America through personal and television appearances.

David preaches in city-wide crusades, church-wide conventions, at Christian colleges and universities as well as at many other venues throughout the United States and overseas. (One of the banner photographs is from Liberty University where David has been a guest speaker in Convocation several times.) In 1983, he traveled with Dr. Stephen Olford and co-ministered on platforms with him before his Home going in 2004. Dr. Olford was on David’s Advisory Board. As well, David is an Honorary Fellow of the Stephen F. Olford Center for Expository Preaching.

David pastored for two years early in his ministry and has had stretches of ministry seeing over 4000 plus souls yearly coming to Christ. Many of David’s meetings go beyond scheduled dates because of such a mighty move of God. This is humbling to all of us here at Globe for Christ. 

It is our prayer and the prayer of David’s prayer band that he comes to you with a freshness, fullness and fragrance of the mighty Spirit of God who alone saves souls. God, give us souls or we die!!!
